Real Food WinsIn the fitness industry there can be so much misinformation specifically about supplementation.  I’m talking about protein shakes, supplements for muscle gains, and fat burning supplements. The misinformation flows in from supplement companies with obvious interests to sell their product. Now there’s nothing wrong with trying to sell your product. BUT, there is a problem with saying it’s real food or better than food or that it will deliver better nutrients then actual food.
Many protein shakes are full of loads and loads of filler substances.  Some supplements make false claims to be the real reason your weight loss or muscle gain will happen.  Those of us experienced in the fitness industry as professionals would see these false claims and fancy wrapping papered supplement containers a mile away but its much harder for our clients to see through the marketing propaganda.
Real food meaning foods like eggs, chicken, avocado, lean beef, apples, rice, oats, turkey, bison, broccoli, sweet potato are just some examples of good foods with complete nutrients and complete amino acid profiles. These real foods are and will always be better for you on your fitness journey.  Use supplements as exactly what they’re named: a supplement to support your already healthy diet of REAL  FOODS.   As always Real food can and will always win.
